About TReX II

The Training and Readiness Accelerator II consortium is a collaboration executed under an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) with the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) to address critical modeling, simulation, and training (MS&T) issues affecting national security.

Our mission is to develop modeling, simulation and training related prototypes to enhance the mission effectiveness of military personnel and the supporting platforms, systems, components, or materials proposed to be acquired or developed by the DoD.

TReX II offers federally-funded prototype and business opportunities for large and small companies and academia, especially small and emerging companies that have not traditionally worked with the government in the past. Upcoming solicitations will encompass a wide range of programs and technology areas, including:

  • MODELING: Developing a physical, mathematical, or otherwise logical representation of a system, entity, phenomenon, or process to help Department of Defense scientists, engineers, and decision makers enhance the mission effectiveness of military personnel and supporting platforms, systems, components, or materials.
  • SIMULATION: Enhancing military capabilities by testing and refining models, technologies, operations, requirements, and doctrine over time within a synthetic environment.
  • EDUCATION and TRAINING: Develop, demonstrate, and deliver foundational and advanced training solutions and curriculum to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the demands of a strong and capable military in support of operational readiness.
  • EXPERIMENTAL VALIDATION: Testing and evaluating the operational feasibility and utility of developmental training and readiness prototypes for quality assurance and mission effectiveness.
  • READINESS: Deliver innovative solutions and concepts to enhance soldier lethality and ensure military units are effectively manned, trained, equipped, and led to maintain a qualitative edge in combat Readiness ensures our soldiers are capable to conduct the full range of military operations to defeat all enemies regardless of the threats they pose.
  • INFORMATION OPERATIONS: Provide advanced cyber, test and training capabilities, including information dominance, cyber security and operations.
